Can Film Festival

May 25th, 2010 by Dom

Every_Can_Counts‘Bring your empties and take your seat!’ – what could be simpler? As part of ‘Go Green Week’ earlier this year, our client Every Can Counts launched the ‘Can Film Festival’ in partnership with the NUS and People & Planet aimed at encouraging students to recycle their drinks cans in exchange for free film screenings.

Partnering with the NUS meant that special screenings were held at universities across the UK. Two or more empties were all that was needed to gain free entry.

We’ve been working with Every Can Counts now for almost two years and having created the original brand identity, you can imagine how chuffed we were to direct the ad campaign for the Can Film Festival working alongside our ‘producer’ client! In addition, we designed a suite of promotional collateral for festival organisers, all of which was made available to download via the Every Can Counts website.

Okay so we may not be in line for a Palme d’Or but Beer Hunter, Magnificent 7-Up, Lord of the Ring Pulls anyone?

Every Can Counts Kicks off in Brum….

February 25th, 2009 by matt

There’s been a real buzz around Studio North HQ when I’ve been in this week as the team has been trying to get Birmingham businesses to ‘Can It’ following the launch of Every Can Counts! This fantastic initiative, which is funded by drinks can manufacturers, recyclers and government organisations as well as waste management service providers, is there to encourage local businesses and public sector organisations in the area to recycle the humble drinks can.

The guys have created a series of creative executions for the campaign, including; a full brand identity, the website – www.everycancounts.co.uk – which gives useful tips, hints and recommendations on how employers can do their bit! This week, a direct mailer is being sent out to 1,600 senior decision makers and will then be followed by HTML e-mails as well as both on and offline advertising in key local and business press including; Midlands Business Insider & the Birmingham Post so keep your eyes peeled!

The aim is to target the 30,000 tonnes of aluminium and 8,000 tonnes of steel from cans that are consumed in the workplace annually and are therefore not recycled through traditional kerbside schemes. So… if you’re in the Birmingham area, then why not speak to your boss and see if you can make a difference!

Every Can Counts identity

Recycle bin at Liverpool John Moores

We have recently been involved in the launch of ‘Every Can Counts’, a drinks can recycling initiative aimed at increasing awareness and action in the workplace. Having been chosen to do the branding, website and promotional materials for this project we have learnt recently that early feedback from the initiative has been very positive.  We have also since learnt that Every Can Counts have been approached by a number of high profile potential clients so would like to offer our congratulations, as well as feeling a little bit pleased with ourselves :-)

If you would like to find out more about ECC or even better would like to find out how to implement the scheme into your place of work visit  www.everycancounts.co.uk for more information.
