New Year, new you??
And so we’ve come to that time of year when we make (or rather should have made 12 days ago) resolutions for the rest of the year. According to the NHS ad you’re 8x more likely to give up smoking if you do it in January, there’s a bit of positivity for you. On the other hand I’m sure I, like thousands of others are going to be forced to suffer the indignity of failing miserably but this time last year I genuinely thought it was perfectly feasible to become a one woman acrobatic troop with a best selling novel under my belt, ahem….
Of course not being one to be discreet about such things our Operations Director made his ideas very public in the Drum last week; I sincerely hope he doesn’t think the relaxation promise will be kept a close eye on here at the office…..
Michael Di Paola, Operations Director, Studio North
Despite the current climate, 2008 has been a good year to us as we’ve worked with some great clients and produced some amazing work. My main focus professionally is to keep this at the forefront of every team members mind and to not let any negativity surrounding the wider economic situation affect our creative output and the emphasis we put on CSR. On a number crunching level, I’ll also be keeping a closer eye on credit control to protect against the incresed risk of bad debt. Personally, I’m going to be dedicating more time to sleeping and relaxing!

Of course there were a few other notables when the motley crew were asked to think of some for each other rather than themselves….
Sean will look on the bright side of life, and not moan so much….unfortunately the bright side appears way too bright and it’s hurting his eyes!
Karen needs to make a choice and finally settle with one…dating website.
Stu will remember to use his diary more, if only he knew where it is.
Dave will revise his brew etiquette, remembering that it is quantity and not quality that is important.
And there you have it, a choice selection resolutions demonstrating, as ever that sn like to keep to time honoured traditions and take this fresh start to the year as seriously as anyone. Happy New Year!

Nice pre-weight loss photo there. All that effort and you still throw it back in my face. Think it’s time to get James back in.
