Here’s a good bit of depressing trivia for you on a gloomy Tuesday morning  the fact that I found this out on Tuesday and couldn’t bring myself to write yesterday is testament to how seriously this could affect the British population…..Wait for it….. 

A large glass of wine has the same number of calories as a dougnut….. 

Of course we can take heart from the fact that type of dougnut isn’t specified and this could in face be the super deluxe, indulgence, quadruple chocolate with fudge sprinkles doughnut and that of course wine is liquid and therefore has no calories but let’s face it my friends, it ain’t looking good.

And on that note I think I need a drink…..
